Fort Hood, Texas (CNN) -- Maj. Nidal Hasan has been charged with 13 preliminary counts of premeditated murder stemming from last week's shooting at Fort Hood Army Post, an Army investigator said Thursday.
Army Criminal Investigation Command spokesman Chris Grey said the investigation continues and Hasan, 39, may face additional charges at court-martial.
He said Hasan remains hospitalized from gunshot wounds he received from two police officers who responded to the November 5 shooting.
Hasan is accused of killing 13 people -- a dozen soldiers and a civilian -- at the post's processing center, where soldiers were preparing to deploy to Afghanistan and Iraq.
Dozens others were wounded, and 12 remain hospitalized, Col. John Rossi said Thursday.
The FBI has said that its investigations indicate the "alleged gunman acted alone and was not part of a broader terrorist plot."
Hasan's civilian attorney, retired Army Col. John Galligan, said that he has spoken with his client, but that Hasan was heavily sedated.
"I think the closest thing that indicates that there's a court-martial in the works is last night ... I did receive an e-mail from the prosecutor at Fort Hood indicating to me that the pass privileges and leave privileges of Maj. Hasan had been revoked," Galligan said.

I sincerely don't believe Obama will be re-elected in 2012. Why do you think he's trying so hard to push so many legislation. He knows in 2010 he will no longer have the majority in both house of the congress. And then will be seriously challenged for re-election. I think as Obama pushes these bills and the change he wants to do. Will hurt him the long and short term. People are finally waking up and seeing Obama for what he truly represent and what Obama invisions how America should be. We all need to be diligent and patient and then get him out of office. In the short term we'll have to endure Obama. But he will benefit the republicians and independents in the long term to gain seats and a strong possibility of being in the white house.
What Obama and Eric Holder are thinking about having Kalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) tried in civilan court is just assine. Because now KSM will be entitled to due process and be given constitutional rights. Now the defense team will ask for the case to be dismissed with prejudice because his miranda rights were given to him. And that he was subsequentlt torture....and so on.
I believe Obama is doing this for his agenda. And wants to be able to bring up charges on several people from the Bush Administration and basically put America on trial. That is disgusting that this Administration would put politics and an agenda over proper justice to the master mind of 9/11. In which KSM admitted to doing it and gave up a lot of other terrorist, which prevented other major attacks on American soil.
Since these terrorist have proclaimed they are at WAR with America. They should be tried under the Uniform Military Code of Justice (UMCJ) and in a military trial/tribunal. If KSM should be aquited, you will see riots all over America. People will burn mosques (which is definitely ok to do), beat up on muslims. Again that's a good thing too. But, a civilan court is not the route to take. Holder has to release that this terrorist could get off on the subseqeuntly charges.
The Bush administration will be on trial and so will the CIA and waterboarding. The Dem's. weren't successful on getting the Gitmo photo's released because Gates has been putting his foot on the door and stopping the Dem's. Pelosi, Reid, etc. etc. so now they'll take this approach. And oh, BTW, Fucking Reid says he has the 60 votes for the new health care bullshit they are going to pass. In Phoenix, Arizona, the Obamanation Administration purported that several thousand jobs were created in something like 3 districts. When in fact the districts don't even exist. Even if you transposed the numbers...the districts still don't exist. And now hearing this is occurring in other states too. Sure more will come out.
Also, Obama and his idiot cronies keep claiming that several thousand jobs have been "SAVED." Now my Questions is...how do you gauage how a job is saved. What form of measurement system is being used to get these supposed "saved" jobs.
Now the congress will demand an investigation on the false reporting of the non-existent districts and waste millions (more)of the taxpayers money. And whomever said that change is necessarily going to be good. Change can also have devastating affects on the people too. Which is what's occurring now. And sign is correct. They demos will shove this crap down our throats and tells us to like it...regardless.
We already have an existing system(s) in place now to get people who aren't insured to be insured. It's called Medicare. This isn't rocket science. The politicians should concentrate on fixing the problems and issues with Medicare and then put the uninsured in that program. There is no need generate an entire new program which will just becomes another buracacy which will be mis-managed and cost the taxpayers even more money in the short and long run.
In fact under the new health care plan. We would begin paying for it right now. But the insurance program wouldn't begin till 2013. So how would you like to have to pay for rent for 3 years before you could move into the place. Because that's what is going to happen if this ridiculous plan is passed.
